One Year

On the Wednesday morning following last year's presidential election many shocked Americans dumped their equities.  We scooped them up with glee.  Now we are one year distant from that buying opportunity and the results are in:

NASDAQ Up 31%
S&P 500  Up  21%

One has to be suffering from a political derangement syndrome to find fault with an environment that has set the stage for such performance.

But, that's the past.  What now?

There is no looming threat to the trend.  Earnings reports are good to great.  No new regulations are coming but more deregulation is planned. There is a decent chance that some tax reform and then medical insurance reform is coming.

Our plan doesn't involve stock picking.  We don't even invest in sectors.  We buy and sell ETFs that track major inexes:  QQQ for the NASDAQ,  IVV for the S&P500.
Additionally we use HDV for high dividend stocks and FFTY for innovative growth.

Currently we are at 100% invested / 0 cash.  But we watch every day.  Never complacent.
